bloomers!

first of all, sorry for the radio silence. i have been recovering from another sinus infection. hmr. thank you to those who checked up on me! i'm feeling much better so i wanted to share with you some really sweet pictures of little lexie in her bloomers. these are her 9 month photos and i was so happy to be able to create something especially for her. i used the ever-popular bird fabric and some pink gingham for the ruffles.

friday feature: yeah! burger

yeah! burger, a new burger joint opened in my working neck of the woods. burger places are popping up all over atlanta, but this organic love child of chef shaun doty is pretty irresistible. however, what i love as much as the turkey burger on whole wheat with grilled vidalia onions and blue cheese is the branding! tad carpenter is the master mind behind all of the genius colors and drawings. i just can't get enough of it!

yeah! burger is of the same vein as taqueria, self serve and casual albeit much more kid friendly. they have high chairs! woot. i can't wait to take sam and share a "concrete" which is a glorified blizzard made using straus family creamery's soft serve. yum!

my wonderful editor kate has given all of the contributors of southern flourish a first look at the summer issue and i couldn't wait to share it with you! i am so thrilled with how everything turned out. there are so many wonderful people filling the pages! i'll be sharing an inspiration board with some of my favorite bits tomorrow...for now though, what do you think?!

hope you all had a really fun weekend! we had a great time at the lake yesterday celebrating amelia's first birthday. the night ended with a very tired and emotional baby girl. phew!
