actually, that would be a stretch, but cross another off this list because we went on a long weekend trip to rosemary beach with some of our favorite people. more to come... too exhausted to even believe that it happened.

it's not very often that i make something for a boy. most of my friends have girls, with the exception of a few. i love boys. they are so sweet, they give you the biggest hugs, they're fun! i just don't make things for them on the regular. i have a lot of people asking me when i will. to tell you the truth, i can hardly catch my breath right now. i am going to be taking a mini break from custom orders just until i can get caught up. back to boys. my cousin and his wife are expecting a little blue bundle so i made baby tanner a couple of soft bibs. i made some like this for matilda and they're our favorite.

each bib is backed with supercozy cream fleece. i used piping for the first time on the gingham bib and then applied the letter "t" with some interfacing and a quick zigzag stitch.
i always love to hear suggestions on what to make for boys. i find it to be a challenge!

let me start with a confession. i do not care for pigtails on humans over the age of 9. double digits= no pigtails. however, nothing is worse than adult pigtails unless they're tiny and close to the neck. there, i said it. with that out of the way... matilda recently donned her first pair of pigtails and i couldn't love them or her more.

tah-da! we have loved going to the park. matilda is so daring, trying to climb on everything and she loves the swing. it is quite hilarious when she goes pretty high in to the air and begins to say, "mama.mama.mama."

i am still in the midst of creating my six flower girl dresses. i am having such a great time with the creative process although it has been making my mind spin a little with the assigning of colors! these little numbers were created for the twin girls. i wanted them to be complimentary and coordinated without being matchy matchy. each dress has a floral corsage made up of a mixture of felt and fabric, raw edges and smooth. again i used vintage thread throughout in a rich purple and creamy peach. the sleeves are cream sateen and a poplin pink. i am working on the last baby dress right now before i start on the older girls!

these tiny toes are 23 months old tomorrow. in one month matilda will be 2. how is this possible? i gave her her first pedicure over the weekend. i have mixed feelings about this. my heart aches that she sat still so i could do it. my heart breaks when she squeals and says "pinkie toes!" regardless i can't stop looking at how cute they are.

has a week really gone by? whoa. i have been so busy working, sewing, and trying to squeeze in a workout or two. i am very proud to say that i have lost 10 pounds. sam is working with a nutritionist to make sure that we're getting all the right things in our bodies, so i've been doing whatever he's doing. let's just say no sweets or bread for the past two weeks. i think it's so boring when people talk about dieting so we'll leave it at that!

i've been working on my backbend. i can finally get up and off the mat. i was so happy! it may be a little weird that i make sam take pictures of me doing a backbend, but i'm really proud!
i am so excited to relax tonight to the sound of the rain, the taste of red wine, and the sounds of the bachelor pad. i tried to avoid it, but it is what it is. these people are crazy and i love it!
ps seed factory is on scoutmob today (this has nothing to do with how tired i am;)). get it while you can!

i have so much to do today. instead, i am savoring an early nap and my morning coffee. life has been so crazy yesterday and after sewing four sleeves that i decided weren't what i wanted yesterday...i had to step away! this weekend i helped throw a very fun event and then sunday we went to splash park with some of our best friends and their little ones. family is so wonderful and as much as i feel the need to go, go, go, cram, cram, cram it's so nice to slow down and take in the goodness.

sunday i was able to go to yoga at our brand new lululemon with my mama. it was so wonderful. i actually got teary in the class because i was just so happy to be there and so moved by the practice. i was so sad that i missed salutation nation, but thrilled to be able to squeeze in a class! i loved getting to meet the girls there, i even met a blog friend, angie! here are some pictures from salutation nation on the square. lulu and king of pops were both on hand saturday. marietta...we've arrived!

awesome! more pictures here.
