Summer Weddings

We have had the pleasure of attending not one, but three lovely weddings this June. I love weddings and everything about them, mostly being food and cake (which I abstained from this weekend thankyouverymuch) and dancing. A big congrats to the happy couples!

Joe and Maria were married June 12th at Piedmont Park and the wedding was gorgeous. Loved the salmon and sage color combo. These two are such characters and their vivacious personalities really showed through. The food was some of the best I've ever had as were the cupcakes. MMMmmmmmmm. I still think about them. The reception was candlelit and there was a thunderstorm, which was so romantic and really created the most beautiful evening. We also had some of our absolute favorite company, Jodi and Bobby!

Then it was my cousin Timothy's turn. He married Shirley the following weekend in a beautiful albeit toasty outdoor ceremony. My cousin Katie lent her vocal stylings and it was so wonderful to see my Dad's side of the family and to mix and mingle. It was a lovely and classy affair. My favorite part of their weddings was the kids table, which was decked out in masks, juice boxes, glow sticks and all kinds of fun things for them to get in to!

and last, but certainly not least was Jon and Abbey's wedding this past weekend in Cleveland, TN. Abbey is a lifelong friend and it was so touching to see her get married. As soon as I saw her sister Jamie I burst in to tears. It was emotional. The wedding was gorgeous! The ceremony took place in front of an old southern house with tons of charm, old stone walkways covered in moss, a small pond edged with tea light candles, and they played the beautiful Van Morrison rendition of "Days like This." It was an all time favorite. They let cheery yellow balloons go as a way to remember loved ones no longer with us and the reception took place in an old barn filled with white paper lanterns, twig adorned chandeliers, and millions of twinkle lights. Mason jars lit the way to yellow picnic table cloths covered with cottage flowers in galvanized pitchers. It was perfect.
