months three and four

i remember feeling like i was getting the hang of being your mama right around the time you turned three months. as soon as we started getting a little more rest and and a bit more comfortable it was time for me to go back to work. i missed out on three weeks with you because i couldn't stand being on my feet anymore.

figuring out how to care for you when i wasn't with you was interesting. the pump...daunting. missed you like crazy. it was the first time in 13 months that we hadn't been together every second of every day. it was tough.

you spent your first thanksgiving surrounded by cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents in heflin. we didn't get such great sleep. it was hard for you to be in a new place at night.

the baby weight hung on for quite some time. the holidays definitely didn't help!

Christmas was awesome! we got to spend time with all of our loved ones and you of course were the main event. we decided not to share gifts with everyone this year. it was nice, we just focused on each other and yummy food and the real reason for Christmas. it was the best Christmas we had ever had.
