peace.love.earth.

and sam calls me a hippie? on more than one occasion recently he's asked me when the protest is. how rude.

on the real, i love this earth. i love planting in it's dirt. i try and do my part. i usually forget my reusable bags at home, but i used them this week darnit. i want to start a compost bin. i'm buying more and more organic and local. i'm growing vegetables. i'm so inspired by my parents. enjoy these pictures of their beautiful vegetable and herb garden.

any earthy goals you'd like to share? tips on making easy green choices?

Aww... I love this! My parents are gardeners and so were my grandparents! ...The apple didn't fall far from the tree! ;]

Their garden is gorgeous! I have a question for you - do you have any good, effective recommendations for organic/green weed killer?

brandi--i just use my hands girl. i've yet to find an eco weed killer, but mulch, hoeing, and hands do the trick for me:)

Regarding weed killing - I have read that straight up vinegar will work, but of course you need to be sure not to spray any nearby non-weeds.
