just one of many unfinished projects
mine is growing by the second. do you also struggle with feeling like there is always something to be done? lately i find that i can never truly relax. we have about 10 projects right now that are about 40% done. it's hard for sam and i to find time to follow through. it is that much harder when you have a darling almost 2 year old who can't sit still. this weekend matilda dipped her tiny hand in black oil based paint, which also splashed on her new dress. good times. also, did you know you shouldn't paint with oil based paint in humidity? yea, that pretty much puts that project off until winter.
a peak at my laundry list:
white cabinets
finish landscaping raised beds
make this happen
i was so inspired by this picture when i saw it on ashley's blog. my dad brought us a beautiful door. we are in the process of painting it. i found the perfect map here.
to be continued...
sidenote: we had a late night homemade pizza dinner last night with the grubbs and we watched brothers. whoa. tough, but extremely well acted movie. made me feel so grateful that sam is not fighting overseas, it also made me so sympathetic to the wives that do have men fighting for us. i feel the most strongly for their children. makes me weepy just thinking about it.

black oil based paint. eeeee, made me cringe. It is hard for me to get things done in the summer just because I want to take time to enjoy the weather and pretend I am 12 again with no agenda!
Peace~

That door is beautiful! Love the idea.
Oh my gosh, yes, it feels like everything is halfway done right now... which I hate, but honestly I don't know I could make it all fit. My girlie is 14 months, and she grows more active and inquisitive everyday. It has been hard to find a balance... working from home is tough. But it's so wonderful!! I love being able to do something creative instead of going to work for someone else.
I can totally relate. I keep telling myself "I will get this done when....". It ain't happenin! It's comforting to know I'm in good company.
I just found your blog today and just have to say I love it! I love your homemade simple style/life. Thank you for the inspiration.
Oh wow, I watched "Brothers" last night too and felt that same way. Good movie but left me sad for so many servicemen/women and their families
what dress got ruined???
linds--the cute striped dress from tea. whaa.
This is me 100% of the time. I think you are an amazing and inspiring lady and the projects that you do accomplish are incredible. Don't sweat the unfinished ones.
Oh, these days it seems as though my laundry list only grows, never shortens. So glad you love that map idea. I can't wait to see how it turns out! Love you!
