reunion

this weekend we headed to heflin for our downey family reunion. i've been under the weather but we couldn't imagine missing this time with extended family. i think family reunions are pretty cool, not only do they include fabulous homemade banana pudding and holding babies but they also include catching up with people you don't often see but that share your lineage. they're good people. it also means a lot to my grammy for us all to get together. she has such an amazing heart.

this week is a big week as we start to prepare for matilda's third birthday. i am so excited to celebrate her and can't wait to see her face on her "special day" (that's what she calls it). she is going to freak out when she sees all of her little friends. eek!
