handmade charlotte for anthropologie

hi! this week has been kind of a downer. i'll be back to regular posting next week. just popping in to share these gorgeous beauties. my friend rachel who is a master curator and finds the most beautiful things and shares them on her blog handmade charlotte, has collaborated with anthropologie to create a mini-line of unreal girl's clothing. this little plume coat makes my head spin and all of these items were handmade on her farm.

her mother is a semi novice antique dealer who sets up at the local markets. she travels abroad a few times a year with her mom. she only carries buffalo nickels, wears indian head pieces and collects vintage buttons that her mother sews on her beret.

so proud of you rach!

Beautiful, but even if I COULD afford that stuff, I would never spend that much on anything for my child. They outgrow things so fast, make messes, stains... There are so many children around the world that have nothing. Id rather give my money to them any day.

I've been a fan of her blog for a long time now, so exciting to see her brand grow! That coat is divine. Does it come in my size?!?

@rebekka - yes! they are for sale. here's the link: http://search.anthropologie.com/controller?N=0&Ntk=primary&Nu=p_group_id&Np=2&Ntt=handmade%20charlotte

anonymous - although i agree that is important to give, it is also important to support friends as well as artists who've worked very hard to make little works of art essentially. all of these pieces are intended to be heirloom treasures that you pass down.

@jodi - i know! i wish it was in our size, too!

no way! i saw those bloomers on pinterest and ordered some for violet. she'll wear them under dresses and as shorts over tights, so they're worth it IMO. i bought max a $38 liamolly hat two years ago, and it still fits him (that's three years of wear!). so neat that she's your pal!
