citrus margarita

when sam and i want a really refreshing adult beverage, this is our drink of choice. citrusy, tart and tangy. not overly sweet like your typical margarita. the fruit alone serve as the mix. because this drink is full of acidic fruit you also reap the benefits of lots of great vitamin c. enjoy!

citrus margarita
adapted from this recipe
yields 4 margaritas.

1 lemon/ halved + peeled + seeded
1 lime/ halved + peeled
1 orange/ halved + peeled
1 oz grand marnier
3 oz tequila (preferably clear)
1 oz triple sec
1 oz water
3 cups ice

blend to creamy perfection.
makes a tart margarita. can be sweetened with stevia or frozen strawberries.

+also try substituting coconut milk for the liquor. would make a dreamy smoothie.
