a while back i mentioned that commoncreativ had named me as one of their 50 most creative people in atlanta and i still can't believe it! there are so many talented people in the magazine and my friend osayi made me sound way cooler than i am. the issue is out now. while i never really consider myself a "fashion designer," i really love the title. feel free to make a joke about the salad picture. kate and ashley have already beat you to this.

i've been feeling really grump lately. this may have something to do with my entire family being sick for the last few days. lord knows i'm not the best nurse and my house is turned upside down.
speaking of my house, office inspiration coming tomorrow... now taking volunteers to help me execute the vision!

ps craigslist has been a total lifesaver. i sold everything i listed in a little more than two days. hizzah!

commoncreativ: creative atlantans

the interview i did with osayi is already online at commoncreativ's website. i was thrilled to hear that i had made their 50 most creative atlantans (me, really?). this new online magazine is for creative professionals and founded by the lovely kristina dutton and maria yanovsky. osayi did an incredible job at telling my story. i'm excited to see the rest of the list, makes me feel real good to be in a category with this guy. a big, heartfelt thanks to osayi for her kind words and for commoncreativ for the feature!

i do have to point out that it was not ms. paltrow who found me, i was commissioned by the fab annette joseph for the dress and cape. it was such a fun project, i love gwyneth!

dinner party!

remember a while back i told you about an incredible dinner party/photo shoot with rue magazine? well here it is!

where: my darling (and beautiful) friend annette's gobsmacking home
what: dinner party featured in rue's issue 3 pg. 118 for whole story
photography: the amazing our labor of love

i felt so honored that sam and i were invited to this fancy fete. look our hostess gift even made the cut! sam looked so dapper and we had such a great night meeting new friends like julie and her husband and i always love spending time with annette's girls: ginny and natalie. they are some of the nicest girls you'll ever meet. we laughed all through dinner because annette has funny/awesome friends. the uber talented ashley meaders was on hand and cute as a button, as was the ultra-chic anne sage. anne is lovely, driven, and her creativity and enthusiasm is contagious. it was a fabulous evening with incredible food (can you tell i enjoyed my salad?!)and i would expect nothing less from these super stars. go check out rue's latest issue here!

persona series

jason travis, a local photographer/designer/etc and so forth (he's super creative) has put together i think one of the greatest photo series ever. the persona series is a diptych series which features a portrait and coinciding bag with its belongings.
great for anyone with voyeur tendencies. i mean, who isn't interested in seeing what other people find important enough to carry around? several of these little gems will be featured in the atlantan.
