luck of the irish!

happy st patrick's day and happy birthday guinness! in honor of my irish heritage, here are some pictures of green in the winter garden.

give you a dollar if you can name all of these plants. speaking of plants...we like triscuits and today i was opening a new box and discovered something genius. i love clever marketing that also does good. do you know about the triscuit home farming movement? triscuit is working to build at least 50 community based home farms! my box of triscuits included dill seeds, which i am proud to say that i planted.

have you planted anything this spring? joined a csa? do tell.

Starbucks: New Ad Campaign

Considering the fact that I got a degree in Marketing I am always interested in new fangled advertising. The latest (and genius I might add) marketing ploy I've come across is this...

At DSquared2's Milan Fall Fashion Show the models graced the runways with what else but Starbucks coffee. I love the cheeky nod at celebrity and what makes coffee look better than gorgeous models? With ideas like this Starbucks may be on their way to a comeback. Britney Spears and Starbucks having comebacks...how ironic.
