fall farmer's market

this weekend was downright blustery. i am loving all of the fall colors and smells! bring on the pumpkins and gourds. i spent some of the weekend decorating, but i'm not quite finished. we went to 2 stores to find a copy of martha stewart's halloween magazine to replace the one i had to throw away because it killed a spider. still no dice. we were able to stop by the farmer's market this weekend and i'm kicking myself for not stocking up on more fall goodies...







can't get enough of this milk. the blackberries and cream is the bomb. looking forward to this. xo

What to do this weekend in Atlanta

Hopefully this weekend will atleast be in double digits! Last weekend was a scorcher. Here's what I deem to be a good time this weekend:

Meeme told me she will be attending Creative Loafing Beer Fest 2008 this saturday. It will be held in Woodruff Park, Downtown. Looks like a great time for the beer connoisseur or people watcher!



Suuport your local farmer! Every saturday morning in front of Three Bears Marietta's Farmers Market takes over, May 3 through August 30, 2008
from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. My friend Emily has raves about it. I plan on going my next saturday off!



What you can find there:

Market customers have lots of variety to choose from including heirloom tomatoes, fruits and vegetables that are rarely, if ever, available from the grocery store. We also have lots of staples such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash and beans in addition to pattypan squash, heirloom salad mix, amazing cut flower arrangements, local honey, herbal soap, whole grain breads, fudge pies, jelly, jam and preserves.

If you don't want to venture OTP, Green Market at Piedmont Park is the place to be. Saturday 9-1.



Scott Antique market is this weekend. Go digging for treasure, although pricier than Lakewood, you can still find great deals!
