Oh, Mother

My first semi-official Mother's Day was so wonderful. I got a fabulous body pillow from Sam (the perfect gift for a pregnant woman!), he also got me some delicious sour candy! I was in heaven. I truly believe that God could not have picked a better husband for me. For all of my friends still looking for love I pray that you would all find someone who makes you feel special and loved.

Here is secret Sam and my snoogle.

Guiness loves it too!

After getting up early to catch our favorite show CBS Sunday Morning, we had our usual Sunday breakfast, and then planted a tree in honor of his Mama. We miss her so much, so it was very special to have something growing and beautiful to represent her. It was a pink dogwood given to us by my sweet grandparents. Sam refuses to have his likeness shared on my blog. bah!

I made one of my favorite recipes by the Contessa, her macaroni and cheese for our Mother's Day Dunch. YUUUMMMYYYY.

We had such a wonderful time at Mom and Dad's. The weather was soooo beautiful! It was so fun to be with everyone and eat such great food. We had fresh fruit, squash casserole, jalapeno cheddar corn bread, ham, and much much more! I have such wonderful women in my family to look up to. Especially, my Mama...I love you!
