Thoughts?
I saw this post on Progressive Pioneer. Amy, the author, is really inspiring and thought provoking. She's very in to natural parenting (as am I, albeit a bit less active) and she is as she says progressive. I found out about her on Design Mom. Anyways, back to the post. What do you think about your baby going diaperless? I personally love the idea of getting a head start on potty training and washing less diapers, but I don't know if I'm ready for wet floors...

I have a couple friends who EC (elimination communication) their babies starting from 3-ish months, its quiet interesting! I think they continue to use diapers until they get "good" at catching the babies cues of pottying, but I dont know.
It has always sounded hard to me for some reason, but please post if you give it a try! I'd love to read how it goes!
I've always heard that having a dirty diaper is one of the things that motivates babies to want to use the potty because it's uncomfortable. Ya know, like who wants to have a load in their diaper? I've heard that's one of the bonuses of using cloth diapers, it's less absorbant and can lead to faster potty training...but I don't have kids, so I really don't know?
I actually wanted to try thi method out, and bought a teeny baby potty so I could try and start at about 6 months... We'll see if I am brave enough to deal witht the accidents that will ensue in the process!!
This seems to be something you can't do very well if you're a working mom...
We started putting my daughter on the toilet when she was 8 months because she was so obvious when she went #2. It started out more as a joke but then I kept on going cuz it worked. She was telling me she had to go poo at 12 months using sign language. She was totally trained at 19 months. I think it helped that she is my only child and I don't work. It worked for me! :)
