craft: woodworking man

i'm kicking off a new series that will feature really awesome southern people who make things with their hands. i just discovered this incredible "gentlemen's journal," grain & gram via rifle paper co. they just did a feature on blair sligar from orlando. he uses salvaged and local materials to create one-of-a-kind furniture and sculpture. he created the build out for rifle paper co.'s shop. i want those shelves, aren't they lovely and craggy? i love the chunky wood. read the full article here.

Have you checked out Garden and Gun. It's magazine/blog/newsletter that is a couple of years old. It's wonderful and they have also previously highlighted southern artists.
