back home

after a blissful few days away, we are back home. i could not wait to get my hands on this girl. i've realized that going on vacation is so important. sam and i did years and years of staycations and it's just not the same. we fell in love with the costa rican attitude. it is super contagious. i feel so relaxed and recharged. i'm putting together a travel guide that i'll share with you guys next week. for now i'm easing back in to yoga and eating well. after eating things like: "nachos as big as your a**" and drinking my fair share of pina coladas, i figured it was time to try my first cleanse. will let you know how that turns out!

have you ever done one? do tell.

have a wonderful weekend! i can't believe this burst of spring we've had in the south. buds on everything. we need to start our spring vegetables!

p.s. here is a great handout on super foods you should know about.

Heard nothing but amazing things about blueprint cleanse. Super pricey obviously. Could probably just juice your own. But they have this amazing juice till dinner option where they also provide you with raw meals... and they look just delectable!

Welcome back!

Welcome back! Can't wait to talk to you. Nachos and pina coladas, YUM! I did the Master Cleanse once. I'm sure I've told you about it. Wowzers.

can't wait to hear where you went in the mother country (of franc at least:)! It makes me want to go again! I loved all the juices they had there. yum.

Welcome back and happy belated!! Ahhh!

I have done the Master Cleanse and loved it, although it is a challenge -- easing into it, easing out, and in the middle a whole lotta lemons. People have misused it as a weight loss tool, where I think it gets a bad rap because that's not the intention. Used to do it every year...sigh...

Sound like such a great vacation. I agree staycations may be nice but there is something entirely different when it comes to REALLY leaving. Glad you had a great time!! XO!

So glad you had a nice time. Can't wait for the Costa Rica travel guide. It is definitely on my list of places to go!

I have never done a cleanse and to be honest the thought of it makes me a bit nervous. Why a cleanse versus just the sugar detox that you blogged about earlier? We have been on vacation for the past week and I feel truly awful because of all the crud that we ate. I need to get back on track. Should I do a cleanse?

re: lori
i'm not doing a juice fast or anything like that, i'm just taking a supplement in the morning and night to flush everything out, while eating super healthy. i'm just doing that in combination with detox for a week. nothing extreme! do whatever you are comfortable with. i'm just trying to learn as i go!

I'm glad you had such a great trip! Can't wait to hear about it. Yes Casey and I did a juice cleanse about 6 years ago - it was very hard, he was grouchy and lasted 2 days, I lasted 3. I do want to try the one by Dr. John Douillard's though. I saw him speak at the Yoga Journal Conf. last year and he was very good. http://www.lifespa.com/coloradocleanse.aspx

Have a great weekend!
