resources + recipes

1. you can find the biggest resource (the book) here.

2. most of the party extras (noise makers, sunglasses, animal masks, plates, forks, cake topper) all came from one of my favorite shops in atlanta: richard's variety!

3. matilda's invitations came from tiny prints. amazing customer service and totally affordable.

4. the balloons i found at bake it pretty. they were gorgeous, but i will warn you to inspect your balloons before you blow them up because 2 of mine had holes in them and at that point i had to just switch gears. i will say that bake it pretty helped resolve the issue with their fabulous customer service. tip: party city can blow up this size balloon and they can also treat them with something called hi-float which keeps them floating for 2-4 days for just 15 cents extra.

5. the gold tinsel i found through bronner's and it was the easiest to attach to the balloons. i used double-sided tape and wrapped it around the twine.

6. these lovely striped straws (perfect sherberty color i was looking for), striped nut cups, and the baker's twine i found once again through amanda at hey yo yo. it's my go-to party etsy shop.

7. the pumpkin whoopie pies were insane. the recipe came from the boys at baked bakery that they shared with martha stewart. i got so many compliments on them and they were really easy to make. i didn't fuss with a piping bag, i just used a mini ice cream scoop for both the cookies and the cream cheese filling. perfect fall treat. would make an amazing addition to your thanksgiving spread.

8. for the pimento-less cheese sandwiches i used shredded cabot cheese (thank you mama for letting me use your food processor- huge time saver), duke's mayonnaise and then i sprinkled it with paprika for some color. i spread the mixture over flat out bread and then rolled it. once it was rolled i sliced it in to little pinwheels that i placed on skewers. chill overnight.

other food included: goldfish, cantaloup, and orange slices (all orange).
