I know I'm asking for it

So. This weekend Sam and I had Christy and Erik over to watch Twilight. I read the book, I freakin talked it up on here, but I have a confession...

I think the Twilight series sucks.

First of all the books are a quick read, but I felt like nothing really happened. I kept waiting for the scary bits and the romantic bits and it was all sooooo "His pale skin" and "I want to be a vampire" blah blah blah.

The movie was way worse. The acting was ridiculous. The hair and makeup was stupid and I fell asleep. Ok, so bring the retort. I'm ready for you.



*ok, the books aren't that bad...just wanted to see what might happen if i said they were. the movie was terrible.

Book Club:Twilight

Last night I spent a wonderful evening with friends at my first ever Book Club. I felt confident in going because for once I had read the book. The choice for this month as you may remember was Twilight. My good friend Jennifer hosted and I had the best time. I wish I had pictures to show you of the beautiful dinner she prepared for us, but I was frazzled from getting lost and totally forgot!

We ate the most beautiful watermelon salad, delicious chicken and rice, and a berry crumble with whip for dessert. Jennifer is one of the best hostesses I know. Then we talked way too much about babies and Edward. It was wonderful! I highly recommend starting a book club or joining one, because it keeps you reading and allows for great girl time!

Twilight...making its way to Book Clubs near you!

Now that I am finished with Nineteen Minutes my book rotation has finally arrived on Twilight. After so much buzz here lately I can't wait to soak it up. My wonderful friend Jennifer is featuring Twilight in her book club so I am very excited to discuss!!!


The latest book in the series, Breaking Dawn, is coming out on my brother Jake's birthday...August 2nd!

Book Review: Twilight

Both my friends Erin and Ashley have told me that they are in love with Twilight, which I wrote about several posts ago. Apparently the books are super addictive. My co-worker Mary said she read all three in three days! I can't wait to start reading Twilight. As soon as I finish my current book, 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult, I'll be jumping on the band wagon.

Summer Reading: Twilight Series

I really don't know too much about the Twilight Series, but it came highly recommended from a co-worker. I had never heard of it and then I went to see Sex and the City and there was a preview for a movie coming out based on the series. The gyst seems to be that it is about vampires...some sort of love story? The books are written by author Stephanie Meyer. There are currently four books in the series:
