Restaurant Review: Atkins Park Smyrna

Sam and I had a date night Saturday night, I sadly was one tired Sally so we stayed close to home. We decided on Atkins Park in Symrna. I had been to the Highlands location for brunch and thought it would be something different. We ran in to an old friend of mine, Amy, who works there so that was a bonus to the evening. We sat outside on their beautiful covered patio. The fans were on and we were surrounded by beautiful plants and I could have sworn for a second that we were in New Orleans. The tables were covered in white table cloths and the candles were lit. It was a great date spot!

We started with the queso, which was just the right amount of spicy and creamy! I kind of ate too much of it though...

Then for dinner we both had burgers, we were craving them! Sam had the Atkins Park burger which had provolone and mushrooms. I had the black and bleu burger with bleu cheese crumbles. The fries were nicely seasoned and they had Williamson Bros. bbq sauce which Sam's expert pallate detected. The food wasn't above par in the bar category, but it was good. Our waitress could not have been nicer and the cups were large and she offered to-go cups at the end. Key to my pregnant heart!

I did notice that the entrees looked pretty fantastic in the mid-price range and they had delicious sounding sides like jalepeno and corn mac and cheese! If we go back I think I'll have to try that.

Overall a great spot for drinks with friends or a nice date!
