dress caps

yarn

sunday truck

mason jars

crocheted panda

just some of the things sam brought home with him this past weekend. i have to say, it really bothers me that matilda will never know sam's parents. her mama lou and mr. sam would have treasured her. this sad truth is high up on the list of topics that i would like to talk to God about. i know that through stories and a treasure trove of newly discovered photographs that matilda will have some insight on how wonderful they were. sam also discovered two boxes full of letters from the war, perfect fodder for letters from okolona.

i just wanted to say thank you for all of your uplifting comments in response to this post. i also wanted to let you know that grammy is doing so well, in perfect spirits and health. she is such an inspiration, spreading love throughout the hospital!

just a quick reminder to enter this giveaway, you will love the headwear. so gorgeous!

My girls will never meet my husband's mother. So sad at times but we also hope they will know her through stories.

glad your grandmother is doing well.

I feel the same way about Jack and my dad. There's just no two ways about it; it's sad. But they know each other in spirit, and I always have to remind myself of that.

Love you.
