luck of the irish!

happy st patrick's day and happy birthday guinness! in honor of my irish heritage, here are some pictures of green in the winter garden.

give you a dollar if you can name all of these plants. speaking of plants...we like triscuits and today i was opening a new box and discovered something genius. i love clever marketing that also does good. do you know about the triscuit home farming movement? triscuit is working to build at least 50 community based home farms! my box of triscuits included dill seeds, which i am proud to say that i planted.

have you planted anything this spring? joined a csa? do tell.

That's so cool that Triscuits is doing that! I'll have to take a look when I'm at the store next. Awww, it didn't even occur to me that Guinness' name was Irish. So presh.

What a cool idea with Triscuit!! LOL I was at the grocery store already so I'll have to go tomorrow and get crackers!

...Also just love the pictures of the growing garden. They're just lovely and made me smile because all I could picture was how they'll look in a couple weeks. I hope you send new pics then!

Hi there! I just discovered you through Southern Flourish - love your blog.

With this unusually cold winter, I'm behind on my planting. I'm egarly awaiting my basil to sprout and a few weeks ago I planted a bunch of bulbs, but I don't remember what they are!! I had grand plans of starting my own garden plants from seed this year, but that never happened. I'll be heading to the garden center to buy my tomato plants soon :-)

Gorgeous pics of your garden! I kept my Triskit dill seed cardboard thingie, but I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before planting it. My husband and I are hoping to plant a small veggie and herb garden this year, but we haven't prepped the soil yet so our "crops" might be a might wimpy (and I refuse to use chemical fertilizers or pesticides).
