cupcakes from miss mamie's (i had the guinness), bikes, want this poster, my girl.

before everyone thinks i've gone off the deep end (coffee enemas anyone?) please know every day i strive to live a balanced life. the info in the rebuilding your temple series is not information i've generated to share, but what i am learning in class. i stand behind the information because i believe in it, but i take it all in stride. i really live an 80/20 philosophy (80% healthy, 20% fun). while i eat very healthy the majority of the time, i live for our vacation meals. once or twice a week sam and i will stuff our faces with whatever sounds good. we treat these meals with the upmost respect by going all out. lately i find myself dreaming of healthy treats because my taste buds have really changed. i truly crave things that are good for me (shocking i know). this has been my favorite splurge this week. so good!

how do you achieve balance in your life?

happy birthday to my pup guinness and happy st patrick's day. i'm proud to be irish!

I think that striving to live a healthy, balanced life is vital to happiness, but that's my own bias talking. You're a super intelligent lady, Les. Keep it up. <3

Also, definitely trying that shake. I am alllll about some avocado in desserts! (and smoothies, and salads, and scrambled eggs.....)

My yoga practice and my very logical husband keep me balanced!

that shake looks really good! I want someone to make it for me. heehee.

I think that being balanced and splurging is the key to enjoying life. Last night I had a delicious healthy dinner of kale & brown rice . . . "balanced" by Blue Moons! haha. In all seriousness, though, I think you're right: it's important to be conscious of everything we put in your bodies (as I preach regularly to my students when I see them shoving bright red hot cheetos into their mouths), and it's also important to seize life and enjoy it and eat some delicious things that aren't totally pure . . . because indulging can create great memories & provide for wonderful experiences. :)

Love you and miss you lots.
