lovebugs 4.0

just had to share a few of my favorite photos from this year's lovebugs (a collaboration between seed factory and our labor of love). this is the fourth year of the series. you can see the rest here. i love how our labor of love perfectly captured matilda's hilarious expressions. no shortage of personality.

a big thanks to whitney, jesse, and heidi for making magic!

valentine's project revealed!

what a gorgeous weekend! went by fast didn't it?! you know what else went by fast? january. seriously, where did it go? i am finally unveiling my secret valentine's project on seed factory's blog today. i was so honored when rachel approached me with this idea and i had so much fun ruffling up some tiny aprons.

i was able to cross off #16 and #22 off this list over the weekend. that's right i finally tried hot yoga! i went to decatur hot yoga with cristen and kate and it was so mind altering fantastic. it wasn't as hot as i thought it would be. in my head before class i kept picturing myself passing out. it didn't happen! i felt so much more limber and was able to try a few different poses like camel pose. loved it! you know what else i loved? spending time with fabulous, strong women like kate and cristen. they are both so spirited and fun. we had a divine dinner at leon's (which is also where sam and i had such a great date night last week). may i please recommend the warm chickpea salad with cherries. so good.

looking forward to challenging myself to practice more yoga this week and to lower my "crazy" level. i've been running around like a chicken as of late. need some more time on the porch with my favorite reading material and 70 degree weather. bliss.

tamar|seed factory

last friday and saturday were such a treat! seriously, i am just so smitten with tamar, she is just as enchanting as her beautiful creations and so warm and lovely.

this peacock is so over-the-top stunning. jen and i decided that it looked like a wedding dress, prompting a couple nearby to ask if a custom peacock cake topper could be created for them. WOW!

after the meet and greet, we headed to dinner and it was insanely delicious. i wasn't very adventurous, but the chopped steak and frites were divine!

i also really enjoyed meeting tamar's fancy rep/travel buddy, ellen. she was full of fantastic stories and has quite the resume!

the stitch workshop was such an inspirational time for the children. they loved tamar and wanted to be her! so adorable.

see more here.

ps sorry for all the debbie-downer posts. sheesh. and thank you very kindly for loving me anyway and for lifting me up out of my funk. this book lent to me by my incredible neighbor is also helping.

lovebugs v 3.0

a few saturdays ago i had the pleasure of assisting the fabulous our labor of love in the now annual lovebug shoot. i have gushed over the previous years photos. this year our sweet matilda was captured, along with her good friend parker and lots of other adorable little people. i was completely blown away by all of the tender moments that were captured and moved to tears when i saw our girl with her baby and her spoon.

Have you heard?

Hello all you Sprout fans (Sprout is one of my FAVE children's stores in Atlanta), there's a new kid in town...Seed Factory. Located behind Sprout via bridge access is the latest creation from the Sprout family. The Seed Factory is where Sprout leaves off, carrying toys, clothing, and more for the older set (children up to age 12). There is also a 1,000 ft activity space featuring everything from yoga classes and story time to cooking classes. Enjoy!
