snow day

yesterday was one of those days that we'll always look back on fondly. we spent the day outside sledding and crunching in the snow. the snow that fell on georgia was unbelievable. i went to bed early because i'm trying to shake a wicked cold and woke up to the most perfect, untouched blanket outside our window. when i showed it to matilda she said, "where's the snowman?"

we warmed up with cheese dip and these classy ladies and then all the neighbors made big batches of chili and cornbread to share. we finished our comforting meal with this treat. i'd never made snow cream before and let me tell you... it's awesome!

we're still trapped inside. the streets are super icy with no sign of it melting... movie time!

let it fall

as you may have heard we got a dusting of snow in atlanta last night. schools and businesses closed, it looked like powdered sugar all over the ground. i wish i could say we played in it, but we actually ended up sitting at the minute clinic again, but this time we left with antibiotics. sinus infection. i kept thinking it would just go away, but it hasn't. i already have orders that need to be filled and work that has been missed. must.get.better. i apologize for the whining.

snow day

my body is so not happy with me. i'm taking a forced break today. fun plans have been cancelled, i don't think i'll get out of my pajamas and i'm pretty sure we'll stay holed up as we are expecting snow today. that's right. so exciting. when you live in the south, snow is such a novelty that we all wait like children to see that first flurry. all you northerners are rolling your eyes.



we'll be playing hide and go seek and making hot chocolate and reading this.

Snow day

The snow fairy smiled down on us southerners today. We were sent a thousand snow flakes and it was truly lovely. We braved the inclimate ;) weather for a home cooked meal with my sweet family.
